Generalized Hyperhidrosis

Generalized Hyperhidrosis affects the whole body. Typically adults whose sweating occurs during both waking and sleeping hours. The excessive sweating usually stops when the illness is treated. It is much less common and is usually caused by another illness such as:

Infection,

Diabetes,

A search for a specific reason to excessive sweating in general can be long. A cause cannot be found in every case and then the diagnosis of idiopathic Hyperhidrosis can be applied to those cases. Idiopathic meaning "unknown.

Symptoms:

Areas that produce sweat will turn black and Visible signs of Hyperhidrosis are clearly evident. While sleeping they sweat.

Cause:

  • Menopause,

  • Some prescription drugs,

  • Heat, exercise and humidity,

  • infection such as tuberculosis,

  • Metabolic diseases and disorders,

  • Severe psychological stress.

  • Hodgkin disease

  • Febrile illnesses,

  • Chronic alcoholism,

  • Neurological or neoplastic diseases,

  • Metabolic disorders or processes.

Treatments

They are treatment available for Generalized Hyperhidrosis, some of them are such as aluminum chloride solution. It is commonly present on anti perspirant which is available in market. You need a high concentration of aluminum chloride to get good results

Surgical treatments

At ETS some sympathetic nerves or nerve ganglia in chest are cut, burned or clamped. The problem is that this procedure very often causes anhidrosis in the area above mid-chest. There is also a low chance of Horner's syndrome. ETS was used for facial blushing and facial sweating.
